Middleville is the “Crossroads to the Future”.  Those citizens serving on the Village Council, the Planning Commission, and Downtown Development Authority share a common vision and set of values.  This vision and the values include:

  1. Making Downtown once again healthy – a place to shop, work, play and live, as shown by the Market on Main and Riverbank Music Series.
  2. Elimination of blight and physical decline; have you noticed the flowers and landscape changes in the Downtown area?
  3. Enhancing and beautifying public spaces in Downtown, evidenced by Stagecoach and Sesquicentennial Parks.
  4. Assuring reasonable parking service to Downtown business has been demonstrated by the St. James Circle parking area behind the Village Hall.
  5. Creating outdoor gathering places for regular and special activities, enjoyed by Middleville residents and visitors during many events in the summer and winter
  6. Implementing vintage lighting and signage throughout Downtown, the Gazebo and park.
